Year 7 and 8 students have been undertaking business and enterprise lessons this year to help develop their employability skills. The students have been developing games to help fundraise for the school mini-bus. This photograph shows a group of Year 7 students explaining how the Wheel of Fortune (made from a bicycle tyre) works. The tyre was held in place by a plastic drinks bottle filled with sand to stop it bending. It had been modified to spin on the bamboo frame which held it all together. The group worked well as a team and are one of the 8 finalists to go through to the second round of the SMCC Dragons Den competition out of the 21 teams involved. We are grateful for the time provided by a team of 6 Lloyds Bank Managers were judges of the competition. Special thanks goes to Shirley Partridge for the time, effort and commitment she has given to these students preparing for the competition.
