We write in relation to the on-going Coronavirus outbreak that you will no doubt be aware of from the media and other sources.
As a school, we are obliged to follow the instructions and guidance appropriate to our educational establishment as set out by The Department for Education, Public Health England and the Local Education Authority (Devon County Council). We are acting on all advice received from these agencies who provide us with regular updates. Furthermore, in relation to school trips to other countries, we are compliant with instructions and guidance from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) who themselves are keeping the situation under constant review.
We have taken the additional precaution to introduce anti-bacterial gel in locations across the school site and have already communicated with those families of students scheduled to travel oversees on school trips. We would also ask that, as parents/carers, if your child has any underlying conditions such as problems with their immune system, that you to seek medical advice around any considerations and/or further precautions you may need to take.
