Abbey (2nd left) with other iwill ambassadors in London.
My name is Abbey Harwood and I am in Year 10 at South Molton Community College. I recently become an iwill ambassador for the iwill campaign. iWill is an organisation designed to improve the lives of others. I am now planning to share more chances with other pupils to get involved in youth social action.
On Monday 21st November, my cousin and I went to Church House, Westminster, London to meet the other 49 ambassadors chosen this year. The iwill campaign has 150 ambassadors over the 3 years it has been running.
I spoke to one other ambassador who said “It was a good and interesting day learning about the benefits of youth social action and being taught tips and tricks for blogging: it was really good fun.”
After collecting my award at Church House with Adele Roberts from BBC Radio 1, my cousin and I walked over to the House of Commons.
At Westminster I got to chat with other ambassadors and now I am going to be carrying on my work here in Devon. I would like to do a skype call assembly with the other ambassadors and start a campaign to make more young people aware of the terrible illness, dementia.
