SMCC Show Jumping News

January has been a busy month so far for SMCC Show Jumpers.
Grace Sinclair recently competed at the National Schools Equestrian Association Eventer Challenge with her mare, Dottie. Unfortunately, she was too quick to be in the ribbons in the 90cm despite going clear. Grace then rode carefully in the 100-105cm class; again going clear to come 6th. Well done Grace!
Sunday 7th January saw round 4 of the North Devon Schools Show Jumping League. The conditions weren’t great, but the SMCC Show Jumpers stayed positive and buoyant and achieved some great results. As the league table stands: SMCC Stars are 8th in the 60cm; SMCC Hurricane is 1st and SMCC Storm is 2nd in the 70cm; SMCC Storm is 2nd and SMCC Sunlight is 8th in the 80cm; SMCC Storm is 2nd in the 90cm. Individually SMCC are doing really well too: Lily Cronk is currently 3rd in the 70cm with Jess Cumings in 5th. Lily is also 2nd in the 80cm and 3rd in the 90cm. Fraser Boundy currently lies in 2nd position in the 90cm with Charlotte Snell in 4th place.
Well done SMCC Show Jumpers. It takes passion, determination and commitment to keep training during these cold and dark winter months; we’re really proud of you.
