This nomination has been made by her English teacher, Miss Timms.

Ella has been an example to all of good practice in English. She is self-motivated, has high personal expectations & exhibits excellent effort. Her revision for ‘Macbeth’ and the upcoming mock exams in English is outstanding with extensive note taking and exemplary work in her exercise book.

Well done Ella; we are very proud of this excellent attitude and commitment to your studies.

Student of the week

Lee was nominated by Mrs Skinner.
Lee has been nominated for the support and kindness shown to a new student and others at SMCC. He has a very positive and mature attitude and is always willing to help where he can.

Well done Lee!

Harriet was nominated by Miss Reed for a Random Act of Kindness.
Harriet was nominated for the following reason: for always being very positive, contributing and helping her peers. We are very proud of Harriet for showing such kindness. It is a quality that we regard highly at SMCC and promote amongst our students and staff. Harriet has led the way with this culture of kindness this week and we are pleased that others have recognised it and nominated them.

Artwork of the week

Rebecca, year 9 is our artist of the week this week.

Rebecca’s beautiful “bee happy” image was made with pins, thread and a great deal of patience! Rebecca is always hard-working and creative, and we are all really proud of her.

Well done Rebecca! We think this message is particularly important too!

Student of the week

Jasmine has been selected as the Principal’s Student of the Week.

This nomination was made by Ms Amy Somerwill, the Youth & Community Worker at the YMCA in South Molton. She says:
Jasmine is part of the youth group at the YMCA in South Molton and always puts herself forward to help others. Recently she went into the town and gave out little gifts of joy to the local people. Jasmine was the only young person who turned up to help and did a fabulous job. She has also helped write some fabulous grant applications for me. Jasmine is truly a super star.

This is a fantastic testimony from a member of the South Molton community and we are extremely proud of Jasmine’s attitude and commitment.

Well Done Jasmine!
