Artwork of the week

This week artwork of the week goes to Venetia for her stunning “playing cards”.

The delicate painting, collage and drawing is part of a mixed media project where students have designed their own work on a variety of themes; Venetia chose nature.

I’m sure you’ll agree the results are beautiful!

Well done Venetia, we are all really proud of you and your work has attracted many positive comments already.

Student of the week

I am delighted to inform you that Harry has been selected as the Principal’s Student of the Week. This nomination has been made by Miss Timms, Head of Year 7.

Harry has been nominated for his consistent politeness and manners towards staff and his peers. It has been reported to me by staff and students that he is always welcoming, diligent and caring. He will often ask about how others are feeling, how has their day been and offer a friendly smile every morning.  He is always ready to learn.  Harry is a shining example of a year 7 student with exemplary behaviour and a positive attitude at all times

Artwork of the week

This week, Niala is the artist responsible for “Artwork of the week”.

We are working on an “inspiration “unit in year 10 and Niala decided to do this beautiful drawing based on Julia Donaldson’s “Room on the broom”.

I was really impressed at the attention to detail and careful colour blending. Well done Niala, we are all really proud of you.

Student of the week

I am delighted to inform you that Lily has been selected as the Principal’s Student of the Week. This nomination has been made by Mrs Twyble, Head of Science.

Whilst on duty outside the school building, Mrs Twyble saw Lily arrive at school carrying bits of litter she had come across on her walk into school. Lily then deposited these in the bin outside the school entrance. We are immensely impressed with Lily’s attitude towards keeping her community litter free and an enjoyable environment for everyone. Well done Lily: we are very proud of your mature and caring attitude.

This recognition will also be placed on our school website. I hope you will share in this celebration of Lily’s achievement.
