South Molton Community College was awarded Good.

“Pupils are very well behaved, respectful and keen to learn”.

“A key strength of the school is how well staff know individual pupils. know individual pupils”.

“The principal has a clear vision for this school. He wants pupils to try new things with a positive attitude. He encourages pupils to think: ‘I can do it, just not yet.’ The school’s motto of ‘be ready, be resilient, be respectful’ reflects this attitude. A committed, enthusiastic staff team provides good support to the principal”.

Devon County Council inspections

Our last DCC inspection took place on 28th June 2016.

“Students feel safe, know who to go to if they are upset and are confident that any bullying is tackled effectively. They have good awareness of e safety, cyber bullying and radicalisation”.

“Relationships are good between teachers and students and this leads to a positive learning climate”.

“Students want to learn and achieve well”.

“The principal’s dynamic drive has been instrumental in improving the school particularly his focus on teaching and learning”.
