Assessment:
Components 1 and 2 are assessed through non-exam internal assessment.
Component 3 is an external exam. The non-exam internal assessments are
delivered through Pearson set assignments. The assignments are different
every year and must be completed in school following strict guidelines by
Pearson.
Some jobs related to Animal Care are:
Veterinary Assistant, Animal Welfare Officer, Animal Caretaker, Pet Groomer,
Animal Behaviourist, Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist.
“My parents own a farm and I’ve spent all my free time working
on the farm and knew it would one day be my responsibility
to keep it going. I went on a taster day at Bicton College, to see
further education was something I’d like to do. I applied and
got on to a course to study livestock, I’ve now applied to stay on
at Bicton and study agricultural business management.”
