Within this brochure, you will find information on all the subjects that
are available to you in Key Stage 4 at SMCC. Please take the time to
read the subject information and speak to teachers before you make
your options choices, to ensure they are right for you. It is vital that
you consider your options carefully and objectively. Below are some
things we ask you to consider before making your choices:

• Do not be influenced by the choices of your friends. Even if you
choose the same subject, there is no guarantee you will be in the
same class.
• Do not choose subjects based on whether you like or dislike
particular teachers. There is no guarantee you will be taught
by them.
• Do choose subjects that you enjoy learning about.
• Do choose subjects that you are good at; build on these existing
strengths.
