           Task Name Components of Fitness
Context You will be given a context which describes a sporting situation.

Task Produce a written response which will help participants understand each component of fitness. For a chosen sport or
Description physical activity, explain how each component of fitness is used, and the impact it has on performance in that sport.
Requirements - Definition of each of the 11 components of fitness.

                               - An account of how each component of fitness is used during participation in the chosen sport.

                               - An account of the impact each of the 11 components of fitness has on performance in the chosen sport.

Length Your account should be about 2-3 pages of A4 – you can include images if you like.
Top Tips for this - Check you've included all 11 components of fitness. Devise a system to help you list them all.
           Task
                               - Look carefully at the type of sport or physical activity you need to choose. For example, if you’re told to pick an individual
                               sport, don’t choose rugby.
                               - Apply the components of fitness to specific actions in your chosen sport. You will get more marks for giving detailed
                               explanations.

                               - Describe the impact on performance of having good or poor levels of each component of fitness.

For example, explain that good power when serving means that the ball will travel quickly through the air, making it
difficult for your opponent to return, so you are more likely to win the point. Poor power when serving means the ball will
not go far enough or quickly enough, and will be returned easily by the opponent, increasing their chances of winning the
                               point.
