Uniform & Equipment
At South Molton Community College we believe that school uniform encourages a sense of belonging, equality and reinforces school identity. School uniform is to be worn by all students whilst at school and during journeys to and from school.
Our two uniform providers are:-

Please note: Both suppliers will also be visiting the school on pre arranged dates during peak times – these dates will be confirmed.
Blazers must normally be worn at all times, unless a teacher gives permission for it to be removed, a black v-neck jumper (available from the official school outfitter, see below) may be worn underneath. Hooded tops and cardigans are not allowed. Shirts should be tucked in trousers/skirts at all times.
All items must be clearly marked with the pupil’s name.
Equipment list
Equipment
Students are required to have the correct equipment in school daily to support their learning.
Equipment should be carried in a suitable school bag, along with any books required for lessons.
Regular equipment checks will take place during tutor time. Students may purchase equipment from
the Payments Office before school and at social times.

Desirable Equipment:
The following items have been identified by staff as being desirable pieces of equipment that will
support learning. It is not essential for students to bring these to school, however they will be of use.
Highlighters
Earphones
Food Technology:
Students will be required to provide correctly pre-weighed ingredients for practical cooking lessons.
Students will be given a recipe for practical cooking lessons at least one week in advance. If there
are any concerns over bringing ingredients, students should discuss directly with their Food
Technology teacher or the Head of Design and Technology (Mr Leadbetter).
Students will need to bring a container suitable for taking cooked food, which is clearly marked with
their name or initials. Students will bring any left-over ingredients home after their cooking lessons.
Cooking aprons will be provided by the school
