Artwork of the week

We have a very special "Artwork of the week" this week, which is by Victoria in Year 7.
 

Victoria told me she wanted to do something to show she was thinking of the people of Ukraine and the result is this beautiful tree painting.

 Victoria says: "The story behind my artwork is that the roots in the tree represent growth and the tree is a symbol of peace, which we all hope will soon be on this world".

Well done Victoria, this is a very powerful and poignant piece of work and shows how art is both therapeutic and also  helpful in relaying an important message.
